What is RaW News?

RaW News brings you the news that matters to you. We broadcast a digestible summary of the latest international, national and campus news through live bulletins throughout the day with a member of the News team, or via pre-recorded news bites broadcast on the hour every hour.

We also produce an hour long, in-depth news programme, RaW News Insight: currently 5pm every Monday.

When Can I Hear It?

RaW News Insight is broadcast on Mondays between 5 and 6pm.

RaW News bulletins are currently in a trial period of LIVE delivery; tune in five times a day on your student radio to hear a member of the News Team produce an up to date and on the money bulletin.

How can I get involved?

Do you think you are the next John Humphrys, Fiona Bruce or Jeremy Paxman? If so, we are constantly on the lookout for new budding broadcast journalists. Joining the RaW News team is one of the best ways to keep up to date with all the different things happening on campus as well as getting the chance to go to some of the fantastic events which take place throughout the year. Working with us at RaW News is invaluable experience, particularly if you’re interested in journalism or radio.
