All of RAW's Applications and Training Forms

All newcomer training will be done through the Pilot Show Scheme. Anyone interested in hosting on RAW must complete mandatory desk training and the OFCOM Broadcasting Code training.

All desk training will take place through the pilot scheme programme where a member of exec will host alongside you and show you the ropes of using Studio 1 (our live broadcasting studio).

RAW's Pilot Show Programme

Want to get involved in Student Radio but would like a guiding hand to help you find your feet? RAW's Pilot Scheme programme is the perfect place for you. Through filling out the RAW Pilot Show Application Form before the 15th October, RAW will pair you with one of our experienced members who will co-host your show idea with you on air. Through this scheme you can build confidence, develop a new skillset and explore your interest in live radio!

Don't worry if you have interacted with a live studio before; our desk is incredibly easy to use and very beginner friendly!

Please note that training cannot be done at any point during the academic year. Nearly all training sessions will run at the beginning of a term with the exception of Term 1 which is split into two halves.

Show Applications are now closed. Applications for weeks 5-10 will open soon!

RAW is open to all students to try their hand at hosting their own radio show! You can host any kind of show from a show about your favourite music to a speech show delving into your interests. Our sports department covers all sports from women's football to the F1 and on campus-sports tournaments, if you are passionate about sports then you can work with our sports department to create your own sports show. We have news, arts, music, and speech departments too to support any show ideas.

Please note that all people hosting a show on RAW must have completed their training and signed the DJ contract. This includes one off shows. If you need a refresher on the desk training, there will be a sign-up in the application forms.

For a regularly, weekly broadcasting show slot, you can apply for weeks 5-10 shows soon.

For any early birds, creative spirits, you can host a breakfast show from 9-11am! Breakfast shows do not have departments so you have freedom to try out different concepts over the morning slot. You can apply for weeks 5-10 shows soon.

If you've got a busy schedule and you can't commit to a regular show or have an idea for a limited series then this is the show application for you! You can explore new show concepts and apply for our one-off, limited series show after week 5 when applications open soon!

Society Show Applications are now closed. Societies interested can contact us directly by emailing raw1251.pc@gmail.com

Thinking of getting the name of your society out there whilst supporting student media? Then running a society show on RAW is the place! With previous success with live shows with a variety of societies such as Whosoc and Warwick Kpop Society, running a society show is a unique and fun way to discuss what your society is all about through the only radio medium on Warwick Campus!

Societies can either host weekly live shows or send in pre-recorded shows which will air at a chosen time and be put up as a podcast on our website.

Please note that all people hosting a society show must have completed their training and signed the DJ contract before hand. This includes one off shows.

Booking Studio 2

Here at RAW we have two studios: our main live studio (Studio 1) and our pre-recording studio (Studio 2). If you wish to book for a live show at RAW please fill out the link above in the 'Show Applications (Standard)' section. Studio 2 is perfect for those looking at creating a podcast that can be uploaded onto the Website's 'Podcasts' section as well as giving you the flexibility to upload your work onto platforms such as Spotify! Studio 2 must be booked in advance to use here.

Please note that Studio 2 does not function the same as Studio 1 and even if you are well versed with using Studio 1 it is worth requesting assistance if you have never used Studio 2 before. Your own laptop must be brought with you and ensure you have some sort of Digital Audio Workstation installed (the most common are Reaper and Audacity).

Using RAW's Equipment

We understand that sometimes other societies require the use of pieces of tech that they don't have and as a result RAW is always willing to lend a helping hand to fellow societies through lending out pieces of equipment. The lending of equipment is all sorted through RAW's Technical Manager and can be requested through filling the form here
